Lynn MacRitchie was an art critic for the Financial Times newspaper from 1991 to 2006.
She was London editor of Art in America from 1991–2007: notable articles include reports on the Venice Biennale, features on art in China, a review of Sensation at the Royal Academy and interviews with Chris Ofili and Glenn Brown. From 1980–85 she was a contributor, editor and director of Performance Magazine, London: notable articles included Women’s Performance, the Royal Wedding and interviews with Joseph Beuys and Gilbert and George. She was also arts editor of City Limits, London, 1982-85.
Other publications contributed to include New Dance (review of “Mounting”, performance by Sally Potter, Jacky Lansley and Rose English at the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, 1977), The Leveller, Centrefold, Elle Décor, Mousse, the Guardian, the Independent and others.
